This role is for a credit analyst who will carry responsibilty as the lead analyst for an existing portfolio of project and corporate infrastructure issuers and transactions, in accordance with the relevant methodology.
This role will focus primarily on Energy, Toll Roads, Ports, and Other Transportation, Water Sanitation, and Waste Management, and other related sectors. It includes analysis of infrastructure projects of strong sustainability principles, such as Renewable Energy projects, Waste Management, and Sewage Services. The position involves coaching and mentoring more junior analysts and associates.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a quantitative assessment of financial statements and economic/market data, as well as an analysis of bond indentures, liquidity agreements, financial statements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct ongoing credit analysis on a dedicated portfolio of infrastructure companies and projects in segments that may include Energy, Transportation, Water and Sewage, and others).
  • Actively monitor the portfolio and make recommendations for rating transitions in a timely fashion.
  • Present credits effectively and comprehensively in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings, formulate a coherent rating rationale, and present this rationale in a persuasive fashion.
  • Demonstrate rating judgment as evidenced by the ability to distinguish among different entities and transactions at different rating levels.
  • Produce timely and relevant research on specific issuers, general credit trends, or sector-related issues that is in-depth, high quality, insightful, and focused.
  • Participate in issuer meetings, including presenting key rating factors effectively and asking probing questions that result in substantive dialog about key rating issues.

Qualificações

  • Minimum undergraduate/ first level degree in economics, accounting, engineering, business administration, statistics, actuarial science or similar (e.g. bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualifications).
  • Preferably three to five years of relevant professional experience with financial analysis primarily focused on corporate infrastructure (including energy generation and distribution companies) or project finance entities.
  • Proven and well-developed analytical and modeling skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Python programming & Visual Basic for Applications knowledge is a strong plus

  • Specific Responsibilities Include:

Qualificações

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, business or other quantitative field is required. CFA is considered a plus
